Review Time
I was on a $470/month Ahrefs plan for domain and backlink research when my account was suddenly restricted for “unusual activity,” even though I was using it manually.
Support only sent a generic policy response and gave no clear explanation, which was disappointing for such an expensive service.
After exploring my options, I sought professional help through a recommended contact, and my funds were successfully recovered on January 19.

I was paying $500 per month for Ahrefs to research expired domains and analyze referring domains. During normal manual use, my account was suddenly blocked for “suspicious activity,” and I was accused of using bots, which was not true.
Support did not provide any real explanation or evidence—just a policy link and ended the conversation. For a premium-priced plan, that level of communication was very disappointing.
After reviewing my options, I sought professional assistance through someone recommended by a reviewer with a similar experience. Despite initial doubts, the process was handled professionally, and my funds were successfully recovered on January 19.

I paid $249 per month for Ahrefs with a very clear purpose 💳🎯:
👉 Finding expired domains
👉 Analyzing referring domains using Batch Analysis
While doing manual research, Ahrefs suddenly blocked my access 🚫 with the message “Suspicious activity detected” 🤖
They accused me of using bots, which is completely false.
This is unacceptable ❌
I contacted support and clearly explained 👇
✅ I am a real, paying user
✅ I was using Ahrefs manually
✅ No automation, no scripts, no abuse
Instead of providing logs, evidence, or a real explanation 📊🧾, the support agent simply sent me a privacy / usage policy link 📄 and ended the conversation 📴
Let’s be honest 🤔
❓ If heavy usage is not allowed, WHY sell a $249 plan?
❓ Why not show clear hard limits inside the tool?
❓ Why randomly accuse users of bot activity without evidence?
This behavior shows Ahrefs acts like they are the only SEO tool on the market 👑, while ignoring basic customer respect 🙄
🚫 Blocking access first and explaining later (or not explaining at all) is bad business practice
Ahrefs is expensive 💸, arrogant 😤, and unsafe ⚠️ for serious SEO professionals who actually use the tool heavily.
