Community Guidelines — Review Policy

1. Introduction

AllAre.io is built on the foundation of honest, helpful, and respectful reviews. These Community Guidelines outline what is expected from all users — reviewers and businesses alike — to maintain the integrity and trustworthiness of our platform.

By using AllAre.io, you agree to follow these guidelines. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination.

2. Guidelines for Writing Reviews

2.1 Be Honest and Genuine

  • Reviews must be based on your real, firsthand experience with the business.
  • Write about what actually happened — describe the product, service, or interaction honestly.
  • Do not exaggerate, fabricate, or misrepresent your experience.

2.2 Be Helpful and Specific

  • Include details that would help other consumers make informed decisions.
  • Mention what was good, what was bad, and what could be improved.
  • Provide context such as the date of your experience, the product or service used, and the location if relevant.

2.3 Be Respectful

  • Focus on the business, its products, and its services — not individuals.
  • Do not use abusive, threatening, hateful, or discriminatory language.
  • Do not include personal attacks, name-calling, or harassment directed at business owners, employees, or other users.

2.4 Protect Privacy

  • Do not share personal information of others, including full names, phone numbers, email addresses, home addresses, or any other private data.
  • Do not post photographs of individuals without their consent.

3. Prohibited Content

The following types of content are not allowed on AllAre.io:

  • Fake or fabricated reviews — Reviews that do not reflect a genuine experience with the business.
  • Paid or incentivized reviews — Reviews written in exchange for money, discounts, free products, or any other benefit, unless clearly disclosed.
  • Competitor reviews — Reviews posted by competing businesses or their employees to damage a rival's reputation.
  • Self-reviews — Reviews written by business owners, employees, or their associates about their own business.
  • Spam and promotional content — Advertisements, promotional links, or irrelevant content that does not relate to a genuine review.
  • Defamatory content — False statements of fact intended to damage a business's reputation.
  • Hate speech and discrimination — Content that promotes hatred or discrimination based on religion, caste, gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Threats and harassment — Content that threatens, intimidates, bullies, or harasses any person or business.
  • Obscene or sexually explicit content — Content that is vulgar, obscene, or sexually explicit.
  • Illegal content — Content that promotes, encourages, or facilitates illegal activities.
  • Confidential information — Trade secrets, proprietary business information, or other confidential material.
  • Malicious content — Links to malware, phishing sites, or harmful software.
  • Impersonation — Pretending to be someone else or misrepresenting your identity.

4. Guidelines for Businesses

4.1 Responding to Reviews

  • Respond to reviews professionally and constructively.
  • Acknowledge customer concerns and offer resolutions where possible.
  • Do not use threatening, abusive, or retaliatory language toward reviewers.
  • Do not attempt to identify anonymous reviewers to intimidate or harass them.

4.2 Prohibited Business Conduct

Businesses may not:

  • Post fake positive reviews for themselves or fake negative reviews for competitors.
  • Offer incentives (money, discounts, free products) for positive reviews without proper disclosure.
  • Pressure, threaten, or intimidate customers into removing or modifying their reviews.
  • Use legal threats to suppress genuine customer feedback.
  • Create multiple accounts to manipulate their ratings.
  • Report genuine reviews as fake or abusive in an attempt to get them removed.

5. Review Verification and Moderation

AllAre.io uses a combination of automated systems and manual review to identify and remove content that violates these guidelines. We may:

  • Flag or remove reviews that appear fake, manipulated, or in violation of these guidelines.
  • Temporarily hold reviews for verification if suspicious activity is detected.
  • Request additional information from reviewers to verify the authenticity of a review.
  • Investigate reports submitted by businesses or users regarding specific reviews.

We aim to be fair and balanced in our moderation decisions, protecting both the rights of consumers to share honest experiences and the rights of businesses to be fairly represented.

6. Reporting Violations

If you believe any content on AllAre.io violates these guidelines, you can report it by:

  • Using the "Report" button on the review or content in question.
  • Contacting our Grievance Officer at [email protected] with the URL of the content and a description of the violation.

We will acknowledge your report within 24 hours and take appropriate action within 15 days, in accordance with the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

7. Consequences of Violations

Depending on the severity and frequency of violations, we may take the following actions:

  • Issue a warning to the user or business
  • Remove the violating content
  • Suspend the user's or business's account temporarily
  • Permanently terminate the account
  • Report the matter to relevant authorities if the violation involves illegal activity

8. Appeals

If you believe your content was removed or your account was suspended in error, you may file an appeal by contacting our Grievance Officer at [email protected] within 30 days of the action. Include the following:

  • Your account details
  • The content that was removed or the action taken
  • Your reason for believing the decision was incorrect
  • Any supporting evidence

We will review your appeal and respond within 15 days.
